John Potter the founder of Benches Direct, has been in business for 20 years and counting.  Proudly South African and working with only the best and finest of materials.  All SABS approved woods, and carpentry the old fashioned way. What makes us stand out from the rest... we do understand that times are tough and pallet furniture has become a fad, but we do not compromise on our quality to suit our pocket.  We take pride in our workmanship. All our staff are in house trained and hard working.  So what you get from our services and products is top quality.

We only use proper approved SABS woods that will last you a life time if looked after and brought to us, or collected for restoration. Maintenance is something we also specialize in, even though we use the finest wood it needs love and treatment. It's certainly not pallet wood that is sprayed with poison and has a short lifespan. But restoration is as important to us as creating and making a brand new piece. So you can count on after sale service with us for sure.
